Updated Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures:

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, USRCA has designed new drop-off and pick-up routines to ensure the safety of our school community.

We will conduct two car lines, otherwise referred to as "Kiss & Drop". One location is the church office entrance of the upper parking lot (Weiss Road), and the other is situated at the entrance of the auditorium from the East Saddle River Road entrance.

Each class will be assigned a location and scheduled time window for drop-off and pick-up. We will need to stagger the start and end of class schedules to minimize crossover between classes. One car at a time will pull up to the assigned entrance, where they will be met by a teacher or assistant to conduct a brief health screening. The health screening involves checking the child's temperature with a non-contact thermometer and ensuring he or she does not have a fever of over 100.4° F or any other flu/COVID-19 like symptoms. If your child is cleared for admittance, please turn your engine off and unbuckle your child. It would be most helpful if your child is seated on the passenger's side of the car.

The adult who is dropping the child off will be required to initial the screening performed, as all class assessments will be transmitted to the New Jersey State Department of Health by 11:00 am daily. The assessments will only disclose the child's first name and last initial.

If in the event that the teacher does not feel the child appears well, that teacher is reserved the right to not allow that child to enter the building. At that point, you will be asked to move your vehicle to the orange cone area, and Alicia Ballaera will make the final decision as to whether the child can attend school that day.

If a child is having emotional difficulty separating, please be prepared to accompany him or her into the building with a mask. The teacher will determine if your assistance is needed to help with this transition. We expect this may be the case for many children, and realize this may help them feel more comfortable returning back to school.

For pick-up, the teacher will bring your child to the designated area at the designated time. Please be mindful of keeping to the time schedule and a six-foot distance from others during drop-off and pick-up.
